"REN WA KAI" Aikido Federation In Russia
Aikido is widespread in Russia today.
However, there is a lack of good masters especially teachers. The situation is that many
beginners are in search of eminent instructors who own the highest Dan. There by, the
basic principle of mortal combat is broken. Experienced warriors consider that you
should look for your teacher according to your heart, not the quantity of students
and Dans.
Especially as in Japan where teacher's Dan has no matter, anyway,
it is not a determinative criterion. By the way, instructor receives the exact rank of
a teacher only after achieving the 6th Dan. Then the master's name is supplemented with
the word "sensei". According to another opinion master becomes Teacher after receiving
the 7th Dan. In this case the rank of "Shihan" is conferred upon.
"REN WA KAI" Aikido Federation was officially registered in 2004.
It was established in 1992 as the "Randori" Aikido club, then became "Krasniye vorota",
later - "Dojo "Randori" Moscow Aikido school. In 1997 "Dojo" school entered
"The Far East peoples' culture study centre".
In 2004 the Federation became an associated member of the Aikikai
Aikido Federation in Russia:,www.aikikai-russia.org
an official representative of the
AIKIKAI Fund (Tokyo, Japan). Since 2006 the Federation is full member of the Aikikai
Aikido Federation in Russia.
Alexey Mukhin (the 4rd Dan) and Andrey
Kal`pin (the 3nd Dan) are vice-presidents of the Federation.
"Dojo" has maintained close contact with Italian and French masters since
1994 and 1998 respectively.
There are more than 2 hundred students from Moscow and Electrostal
in the school. Classical Aikido is taught on the school base. Besides, students
learn to wield traditional Japan kinds of militant and training arm (tanto, bo,
boken, Katana etc.)
Dojo (club) "Moscow REN WA KAI" is a component part of
REN WA KAI Aikido Federation. A.Mukhin (the 4rd Dan) is a senior instructor.
